Rescue Technician Program -Paramus
Tuesday & Thursday - (84 Hours, 24 EMT Elective CEUs)
Meeting Times: 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. plus select weekends.
Start Date: January 19, 2017
Completion Date: May 18, 2017
 
The Rescue Technician Program is being run in association with the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute at the Bergen County EMS Training Center. This program will address a broad based approach to special rescue needs. Areas to be addressed include site operations, resource/victim management, maintenance of tools, apparatus, hardware, and ropes/rigging/mechanical advantage systems. Additionally, specialty rescue areas such as vehicle extrication, confined space, trench and water rescue. This class will also include SCBA, Hazardous Materials as well as Gas & Electric emergencies. Students must supply NFPA approved fire fighting gear.
Minimum age: 18 years of age at start of course
 
**The required book is not included, and may be purchased at the EMS Training Center during Office Hours.
